Join an Expanding Clinical Practice and Community Training Institute

We are seeking one post-master's mental health counselor to join a growing private practice and community training institute dedicated to excellent clinical care, rigorous supervision, liberatory counseling praxis, and the development of early-career clinicians.

This position is ideal for counselors who are working toward Massachusetts or Vermont licensure and are seeking a developmental bridge between graduate training and independent practice. Counselors will provide individual and group counseling services within a supportive private practice setting while receiving intensive mentorship, supervision, and professional development.

Recent changes in Massachusetts regulations have expanded opportunities for pre-licensed clinicians to work in private and group practice settings. We believe this shift creates an important opportunity to address a longstanding gap in counselor development. Too often, clinicians graduate from counseling programs and find themselves without the structure, mentorship, and support that were integral to their professional growth. While community mental health settings provide invaluable training experiences, many clinicians seek additional pathways for accruing hours and developing their clinical identity.

• Competitive compensation of 55% of session reimbursement

• Practice-related expenses fully covered, allowing you to focus on your clients and development

At this time, this is a 1099 independent contractor position and does not yet include employee benefits. As our practice continues to grow, we are committed to building a sustainable organization that expands support for our clinicians over time.

What We Provide

Clinical Supervision & Mentorship

• Structured individual supervision weekly

• Weekly triadic/group supervision

• Ongoing mentorship from experienced clinicians, supervisors, and counselor educators

• Developmentally tailored feedback and support

Advanced Supervision Opportunities

With client consent, supervisees may have opportunities to participate in:

• Live (in vivo) supervision

• Session review and recording

• Observation through secure telehealth platforms

• Other experiential supervision methods

Our supervisory approach integrates clinical research, developmental supervision models, and years of experience training counselors. We strive to support clinicians in developing stronger clinical judgment, intentional use of self, multicultural responsiveness, advocacy skills, rupture-and-repair competencies, and confidence in complex clinical situations.

Our practice is in the first phase of building a larger ecosystem of community counseling, clinical training, advocacy, applied research, and professional development. Qualifications

Required

• Completion of a Master's or PhD-level CACREP-accredited Counseling program or accredited Clinical Social Work program

• Currently working toward licensure in Massachusetts or Vermont

• Demonstrated commitment to liberatory, critically conscious, decolonizing, and multicultural counseling theory and practice

• Ability to articulate how social identities, power, oppression, and systemic factors impact mental health and clinical work

• Strong openness to feedback, consultation, and ongoing professional growth

• Ability to navigate uncertainty, ask questions, and engage in reflective practice

• Willingness to broach identity-related dynamics in counseling relationships

• Capacity to engage in rupture-and-repair processes with clients and colleagues

• Strong self-advocacy skills and commitment to sustainable clinical practice

Preferred

• Interest in learning and applying a phase-based developmental trauma treatment model

• Desire to deepen skills in trauma assessment, diagnosis, and treatment

• Experience facilitating groups

• Commitment to ongoing education, self-reflection, and professional development
